1° Memorial Day IS1ME Salvatore Manca (IS0ME)

Salvatore Manca, IS1ME (IS0ME), pioniere della radio in Sardegna, è stato uno dei Primi radioamatori sardi, il figlio Domenico IS0DMN, ha donato la radio autocostruita dal padre al museo della Radio Mario Faedda.

Venerdì 2 Giugno, si svogera' un Award Memorial IS1ME, a tutti i corrispondenti  che collegheranno la stazione IQ0AAI, verra' inviata la eqsl contenente la foto della radio autocostruita e alla fine dell'award il diploma IS1ME.

Salvatore Manca  IS1ME (IS0ME) was born in Luras, he was a pioneer of amateur radio
in Sardinia island.  The original call was IS1ME, which later became IS0ME. 
The home-made radio visible in the QSL card was donated to the radio museum
Mario Faedda in Ittiri city,  by IS0DMN  son, Domenico.

   Al Memorial Day  possono partecipare tutti gli OM ed SWL del   mondo.

Bande:

tutte le frequenze radioamatoriali comprese quelle del Satellite geostazionario QO100.
Non sono previsti i qso fatti in FT8 /FT4 ma esclusivamente FONIA e CW, non sono validi i qso in fm fatti attraverso i ripetitori. 

Per l’ottenimento del diploma cacciatori, hunters, non è necessario inoltrare l’estratto log, il tutto viene rilevato dal log on-line.

Per gli SWL registrati al portale diplomiradio.it, i qso ascoltati verranno rilevati dagli inserimenti, mentre chi non è iscritto al portale dovrà necessariamente inoltrare un estratto log alla mail di sotto, entro 5 giorni dalla chiusura del concorso.

La Stazione IQ0AAI passerà  il nominativo del corrispondente e RS, RST, il collegamento in SSB vale  1 punto (un punto)  il collegamento CW vale 2 punti (due punti). (Stessa formula del diploma del museo della radio che si svolgera' in contemporanea.

Le stazione iq0aai può  essere collegata una sola volta al giorno in ogni banda consentita dal regolamento. 
È sottointeso che  una stazione può fare diversi qso al giorno  con lo stesso call, ma in  bande e modi diverse,  per arrichire la sua classifica generale.

Le attività radio fatte al museo anche per altri award valgono anche per il diploma museo della radio Mario Faedda. 

Il Diploma verrà rilasciato a tutte le stazioni che faranno almeno un  Qso con la stazione del museo  call IQ0AAI, indipendente dal modo e frequenza operativa.
Per gli swl sono sufficienti due ascolti in modi e bande diverse lo stesso giorno oppure stessa banda e modo in giorni diversi.

La eQSL con la radio storica di IS1ME  verrà invita via email a tutti i corrispondenti. 
Il diploma verrà inviato via email gratuitamente per chi invece  farà richiesta del diploma 
stampato in pergamena, è necessaria una  richiesta alla seguente email   team.dxcoros@gmail.com , per quest’ultima servirà  un minimo contributo spese per la stampa e la spedizione, che verrà comunicato via email in base ai costi di spedizione relativi al paese di spedizione. 

   
 Le qsl verranno accettate via bureau e lotw e per via diretta con busta preaffrancata con vigente valore. 
Per le stazioni al di fuori dell’Italia  si richiede un contributo di euro 3.

MEMORIAL DAY IS1ME REGULATION

Period of performance: from 0:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC on June 2, 2023 All OM and SWL of the world can participate in Memorial Day.

Bands: all amateur radio frequencies including those of the QO100 geostationary satellite. QSOs made in FT8 /FT4 are not foreseen but only PHONE and CW, QSOs made in FM through repeaters are not valid.

For SWLs registered on the diplomiradio.it portal, the QSOs heard will be detected by the entries, while those who are not registered on the portal will necessarily have to forward a log extract to the email below, within 5 days of the closing of the competition.

CALL ACTIVATORS IQ0AAI RADIOCLUB COROS MDXC MUSEO DELLA Relationships:

Station IQ0AAI will pass the callsign of the correspondent and RS, RST, the SSB link is worth 1 point (one point) the CW link is worth 2 points (two points).

(Same formula as the diploma of the radio museum which will take place at the same time. The iq0aai station can be connected only once a day in each band allowed by the regulation.

It is understood that a station can make several qsos per day with the same call, but on different bands and modes, to enrich its overall ranking.

The radio activities done at the museum also for other awards also apply to the Mario Faedda radio museum diploma. The Award will be issued to all stations that make at least one QSO with the museum station called IQ0AAI, regardless of the operating mode and frequency.

Biografia

Salvatore Manca  nasce a Luras (SS) il  6 gennaio 1904 , a soli 18 anni si arruola nell'arma di carabinieri .
Dopo diverso tempo si congeda ed inizia a fare il meccanico armaiolo fino  a quando venne assunto dalla Società Elettrica Sarda.

La S.E.D, era una delle società elettriche poi assorbite dell’ENEL nel 1963.
Nell'anno 1951 , dopo aver conosciuto un radioamatore originario di Benevento ma con occupazione alla Società Elettrica Sarda, nella centrale idroelettrica del Coghinas, iniziò la sua avventura con la radio .

La centrale elettrica del Coghinas Finita di costruire il 20 dicembre 1926, era della Società elettrica sarda  serviva principalmente per alimentare lo stabilimento della società Ammonia, specializzata nella fabbricazione dell'ammoniaca sintetica.

In seguito per la produzione di energia elettrica, esisteva un villaggio per le famiglie dei dipendenti, la diga è stata poi ammodernata negli anni Novanta, la centrale è tuttora in servizio.

Salvatore, costruì una bobinatrice per gli avvolgimenti delle bobine per trasformatori , una trancia per modellare i lamierini per il pacco lamellare e tanti altri " strumenti " che sarebbero serviti in seguito per collaudare le apparecchiature radio .

La radio in esposizione al museo della radio "Mario Faedda" donata dal Figlio Domenico, IS0DMN risale al 1952  ed è  composta da diversi moduli:

in alto il modulo Tx con la  807,  80 watt AM ; a metà  Rx  con gruppo Geloso; in basso il modulatore per tx;
dietro lo sportello un autotrasformatore da 1 Kw con prese multiple.
Poi costruì un altro  trasmettitore per la gamma dei 40 metri controllato a cristallo mentre come ricevitore utilizzava un "Phonola" che riportava una sezione con la scritta "dilettanti ".

La licenza per l'esercizio di stazione arrivò nel 1954 ed iniziò una lunga serie di QSO .
Nel 1958 si recò in terra di Spagna per conoscere di persona una moltitudine di " OM " collegati . Vinse Coppa Palma de Mallorca nel 1963 , Coppa ARM Anghiari nel 1968 Targa dell'Amicizia città di Temi nel 1975 ed infine Coppa città di Vulci nel 1977 .

Successivamente acquistò un transceiver Trio-Kenwood che funzionava in SSB sulle decametriche, all'inizio costruì un'antenna a presa calcolata e successivamente un dipolo sempre per i 40 metri . Continuò le trasmissioni pressoché giornaliere fino al gennaio 1996 , poiché  il giorno 30 fece QRT Silent key .
 

English Biografy

Salvatore Manca, born in Luras (SS) on 6 January 1904, at the age of 18 he enlisted in the carabinieri. After some time he took his leave and began to work as a gunsmith mechanic until he was hired by the Sardinian Electric Company. S.E.D was one of the electricity companies then absorbed by ENEL in 1963.

In 1951, after meeting a radio amateur originally from Benevento Campania Italy,  but with employment at the Sardinian Electric Company, in the Coghinas hydroelectric plant, he began his adventure with the radio.

The Coghinas power plant Finished construction on 20 December 1926, it belonged to the Sardinian Electric Company and was mainly used to power the establishment of the Ammonia company, specialized in the manufacture of synthetic ammonia.

Later for the production of electricity, there was a village for the families of the employees, the dam was then modernized in the nineties, the plant is still in service. Salvatore built a winding machine for the windings of the coils for transformers, a shear to shape the laminations for the lamellar pack and many other "tools" which would later be used to test the radio equipment.

The radio on display at the Mario Faedda radio museum donated by his son Domenico IS0DMN dates back to 1952 and is made up of various modules: above, the Tx module with the 807, 80 watt AM; mid Rx with Geloso group; below the modulator for tx; behind the door a 1 Kw auto-transformer with multiple sockets. He then built another crystal-controlled 40-meter range transmitter while using a "Phonola" receiver with a section labeled "amateurs."

Subsequently he bought a Trio-Kenwood transceiver which worked in SSB on decametrics.

At the beginning he built a calculated grip antenna and later a dipole always for 40 metres.

He continued the passion on amateur radio almost daily until January 1996, when on the 30th he did QRT Silent key.
